My close friend from Connecticut is visiting San Diego for the week so I drove down to see her! Here are some shots of our gorgeous pad and of course the sunset!

Santa Monica Mountains and Manhattan Beach

I went out shooting yesterday after work and I drove through the Santa Monica mountains and then watched the sunset in Manhattan Beach.  It's amazing how the sunsets here never get old!

San Pedro Art Walk

My roommate and I went to the First Thursday of every month art walk in San Pedro last week.  We saw a lot of art but I couldn't bring my camera into the studios so I photographed the areas around it and this is what I found interesting!

Update

I have more great news to share with everyone! Not only have I moved across the country and got a new camera but I have gotten back into dance again! I'm so happy so have both of my passions back in my life.  But getting back into dancing isn't a cake walk!  I took my first dance class within my first week of being in LA and let me tell you, I probably looked really stupid and out of shape.  First off, the dance studio didn't have air conditioning....like really California come on why does everybody here not have AC????? Are they trying to give me a heat stroke!  That was its own challenge, dancing in a 85 degree studio.  Second off, I haven't taken a dance class in about 3 years.  Third off, west coast style hip hop is more difficult to pick up than east coast!  Needless to say I stood in the back of the room!  I wasn't terrible but I wasn't good either.  If I had more than an hour to pick up the dance, I would have been able to perform it better.  Even though it was a very difficult dance to pick up and in such hot conditions, I'm still really proud that I went because I learned a lot from just one class and it gave me the confidence to come back and keep trying.  I have been going back once a week to this studio, taking a different style of dance class each week.  I know I have a long way to go before I'm back into dancing shape but I'm so happy to have my first love back in my life.
